Welcome to the Naked Winery Blog!

first published April 15, 2019

Hi. Hey. Hello. Welcome to the Naked Winery blog! This is the first of many informative installments that we will be posting to keep you up to date and in the loop for all things NAKED! So Let’s dive in shall we?!

We’ve been keeping busy in our tasting rooms and our Hood River headquarters dreaming and scheming about how to make this the best year yet! As we plan for the future, we can’t help but look back on our past with a sense of gratitude and achievement. As some loyal Naked Winery fans may know (and some may not) we changed ownership at the beginning of 2018. After nearly 20 years of commitment to all things Naked, founders David and Jody Barringer and David Michalec sold the company to a small investment group of employees and family members led by Peter Steinfeld, longtime winemaker and general manager.

Welcome to the Naked Winery Blog

With this monumental change in ownership, has also come with a shift in the look and voice of Naked Winery, the largest of which is our mission statement. While we are still the same fun loving, cheeky, and irreverent bunch, who encourage couples to slow down and share a bottle of Naked Winery wine regularly, we’ve expanded our purpose. Naked Winery is on a mission to inspire meaningful connections by encouraging people to pop open a bottle of wine and share time with each other. Our philosophy is to produce premium wines, with styles driven by the consumer. We believe in drinking the wine you like, with the people you love, in the places you want to share.

We want to assure you that we have no intent of getting rid of our sexy side, and many of our classic labels will stick with us for the foreseeable future! Though we may change some of our designs and freshen things up as we grow and evolve, we believe Naked will stay true to itself as well. We are excited to come out with new labels, both in design and verbiage, especially for our members to experience something different with us now and then. Sometimes that may mean sexy and provocative, and sometimes something romantic, whimsical or adventurous. We feel this maintains the fun energy of Naked in a way that keeps things inclusive for all people and occasions! Keep an eye out for more new and Naked transformations to come, we look forward to posting more Naked updates and information on this blog!

Cheers 🥂,
The Naked Winery Team
